Magic users got their start either from the Hima desert or the Ria mountains, but now of days most casters seen outside of the cities are low level caster users... meaning they picked up the trade outside of the great cities and can only perform simple illusions and in some greater cases... enchant items for very brief periods of time.

They don't have a set weapon proficiency, but most tend to use walking sticks or staffs and even fewer will use a rapier in combination with a buckler.
